My journey into health, fitness, and longevity didn’t start in a gym — it started in a place of struggle. I had a difficult beginning to life. I was expelled from school with no qualifications, got caught up in petty crime, and by 17 I’d joined the army hoping for a fresh start. Instead, I was dishonourably discharged after being found with drugs on camp.
For years, I felt lost. I was addicted to cannabis and cocaine, stuck in a cycle I couldn’t seem to break, and unsure how to change direction.
Everything shifted the day I joined an American football team — The Coventry Jets. The sport gave me structure, purpose, and a reason to show up for myself. At the same time, I started my first long‑term job working in a warehouse. Balancing work and the team gave me stability I’d never had before, and slowly the love of the sport replaced the pull of drugs.
But after years of progress, a serious knee injury suddenly ended my American football career. While recovering in hospital, I made a decision that surprised even me:
I would take up triathlon.
I’d never felt comfortable in water and could barely swim, but that was exactly why I chose it — I needed a new challenge. Within a year, I completed the Great North Swim in Lake Windermere and finishing my first open‑water sea‑swim triathlon, proving to myself that I could overcome anything I committed to.
However, after ten years in the warehouse, I realised I wanted more. I wanted to help people the way movement and mindset had helped me. So in 2011, I qualified as a personal trainer. But I was still battling a cannabis addiction.
Determined to break free, I went to see a hypnotherapist — and the change was immediate. That experience opened my eyes to the power of the mind, so I went on to qualify in NLP and Hypnotherapy, knowing these tools could help others transform their lives too.
Since launching Bootcamp FM in 2013, and evolving into Live Beyond 100 Years our mission has grown into something much greater:
“Our mission is to combine science, lifestyle, and community to help people build the habits that support lifelong vitality. We make the path to living beyond 100 years simple, sustainable, and within reach.”
Since then, my passion has evolved even further. I became deeply inspired by the principles of longevity — especially after learning about the “Blue Zones,” places in the world where people live significantly longer, healthier, and happier lives. Their habits, community, movement, and mindset resonated with everything I believe in.
Today, Live Beyond 100 Years is built on that philosophy.
We’re not a fitness class.
We’re a holistic health community focused on movement, nutrition, mindset, connection, and long‑term wellbeing.
My story is proof that no matter where you start, change is possible. If I can come from where I did and build the life I have now, then you can overcome your obstacles too. I’m dedicated to helping people move better, feel stronger, and live longer, healthier, happier lives — one step at a time.
